Capturing a moment in time is pretty difficult. You may be lucky enough to remember the
nuances, perhaps a few words, to even snap a photograph or take some video but does that ever really tell
the whole story? What was responsible for that sparkle in some one's eye? What words could your little
one speak or special toy or food was he interested in? What music, animal or character was she obsessed
with? What silly names did he or she have for things because the real word just would not come out right?
What made them laugh? What was happening in the world at the time?
Most of us wish that we could record these little but signifcant details of life but they soon get lost in the
mele of the every day. There are things available that incorporate some of these elements but the finished
work can end up being cutesy (nothing wrong with that) rather than sophisticated or done on such a small
scale that it ends up being lost like the memory you were trying to save in the first place.
Fine artist, Sandra Neva Schulze's paintings are a unique way to capture and hold on to a particular
moment in time. With a contemporary, mixed media asthetic, using your personal photo(s) (or other
photograper’s photos with permission) and hand painting techniques she creates large scale custom works
of art that "fill-out" a snapped precious moment and give you something that is that is truly one of a kind.
Her style of portraiture has primarily featured children of all ages but over time she has also found
inspiration in photos of adults and they are avaible as well. Take a look!
